Contribute to the Community
For Bess and her staff at Gresham Ford, community-giving means more than just writing a check. Since 2003, Bess and Gresham Ford have involved the dealership in dozens of local causes - giving their time and resources as well as money. Bess created the “Contribute to the Community Program” after recognizing a tremendous need in East County.
"Our philosophy is that charity begins at home," Bess says, explaining that every employee at Gresham Ford contributes some portion of his or her paycheck to a collective fund. A committee of those employees than decides how those proceeds will be disbursed.
Gresham Ford’s “Contribute to the Community Program” is three-fold. First, when you visit the Gresham Ford Parts and or Service Department we will donate 10% of your invoice to the non-profit of your choice! When you purchase any new or pre-owned vehicle at Gresham Ford we will donate $100 to the non-profit or charity of your choice. Gresham Ford also has provided Oil Change Certificates at no-charge to charities to help them raise funds to accomplish their goals.
"We're not about writing checks here," says Wills who is vice president and general manager of the Ford dealership. By becoming directly involved in organizations and events, the dealership and its employees strengthen their connection to the local community. Good deeds also help Gresham Ford live up to its image as the "Ford Dealership with a Heart".
